Sweets for Thought

DSC_0241

Time for me to relax and eat my favorite Dutch Apple pie while typing my sweet thoughts about the invasion of different print types in the fashion industry.

I don’t know about you ladies, but for my personal taste, I love all the different prints that I now see everywhere.  It is a very modern and youthful trend – definitely unconventional in a good way.

All I see lately all over the store showcases are different prints and all kinds of fabrics, such as silk, linen, cotton and much more.  They resemble abstract expressionism and I think if Pablo Picasso was still alive he would agree with me.  Picasso was and artist of many styles, and abstract art was a part of his amazing talent.  So I think prints as an art expression brings a new flavor to the fashion world.

Remember the introduction of prints back in the 80s?  But this time the trend comes more powerful, and with such a enigmatic and elegant appearance.

For my personal taste, I prefer prints better on bottoms than tops.

In my opinion, the skinny jeans with a little touch of print, are my favorite :)

I encouraged you to show that feminine silhouette, but keep in mind to add some prints to your a outfit in a delicate way.

Let’s make a mark on the fashion world this Spring and Summer, let’s be the ones who lead in fashion over this wonderful time of the year, with some stunning and inspirational looks.

Stay Fabulous.

To be completely honest I have never been a huge fan of the camo trend until recently.

I thought this style did not suit me well, but I think I was wrong. I can totally wear camo using the right elements.

So if you are still skeptical like me, maybe it is time for you to challenge yourself for something new :) I swear to you, you won’t regret it :)

Just so you know this trend has been on and off for awhile now, and I don’t see it disappearing from Vogue any time soon :)

You will see more camo this Spring 2015.  So why not freshen your current look. Right ??

But the question is how to wear this. For me in this outfit I choose to be chic, something easily distinguishable and ready for action :)

So I chose a black solid free flowing top, with a little beige Jacket. I added a pair of my favorite nude heels for a classic approach :)

Go simple with the rest of your outfit, including accessories :) That is the safe way to go :)

The effect I want to make with this outfit is one of an elegant defining package :)

Always classy and chic :)

BTW I don’t think I will wear the Rita Ora camouflage coat that she recently wore in London :)

For right now I will just stick with the pants, but you never know what the fashion future holds for me LOL…

Stay fabulous.

Burgundy and Grey, Part Two.

DSC_1007

Hello my friends,

I know a few month ago I posted “Burgundy and Grey,” but to be honest, it is definitely one of my favorite color combinations, and even more so now since Burgundy has become one of the hottest colors of this Season.   So, for these two big reasons I decided to do another post with the same two colors.

The outfit I chose today consists of Jeans with a timeless grey Blazer and a silky blouse to feel and look youthful and sophisticated :)

To complete this look, and give some clear definition between the pieces, I add divine nude-colored high heels

So the question is, where would I wear this ?? …well, wonderful news my friends, you can wear this outfit on just about any occasion, day or night.  You can go for a shopping day in this outfit looking just stunning, or, go out for dinner feeling just amazing :)

My big question for all of you: what about some Burgundy Footwear ?? Is Burgundy a color that you are ready to have in your wardrobe ??? Share with me your are with me your thoughts, I really do appreciate hearing all your opinions  :)

And my big advice for this week: remember to shop for chic, classic pieces that can stay with you forever :)

I leave you all until next week with another one of my favorite quotes from Coco Chanel:

“I don’t do fashion, I am fashion ” :)

Stay Fabulous!
