The Last Minute Fashion Call

DSC_0057

Hello gorgeous people.

Today I want to talk about fashion emergencies :)

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I feel like I just don’t have enough time to think about what to wear the next day, especially weekends when we rush out to enjoy the many beautiful sceneries in CA.  So that is what I call a Fashion emergency – putting an outfit together in like less then 10 minutes.

Whatever I decide to wear, I always want to look chic, but also be comfortable.  So today I chose to wear a pair of jeans with a simple white top, but enhanced it with a Navy Blue Blazer.

I think the jacket, and gold buttons on it, gives this ordinary outfit a very rich vibe.

I chose the leopard pattern high heels, but other flat styles could look stunning as well.

I really believe with the correct basics, a stylish jacket, and the right pair of shoes, we can always make a fashion statement.

And as fashion rules:

Choose a casual outfit that is comfortable and suggests fun, but always maintain class and style.

Blue and white colors will never be out of style, but the right tailored jacket on top will bring out the classy and stylish look your looking for.  So one thing you absolutely need to add to your wardrobe is Navy Blue Jacket.  But make sure it is tailored to fit your body and shows off your curvy silhouette, if not you’ll just look like a hot dog wrapped in a bun. :)

Another good tip is find yourself a pair of jeans that totally flatters you. We all have that one favorite pair of jeans we feel awesome in, and if you don’t, then spend some time finding a pair – they’ll last you forever.

And my last advice, no matter what you wear, always be confident about yourself.  Realize we don’t have to try so hard when figuring out what to wear.  Just being our natural selves is always a winning situation.  And if it is Target or Prada, or even both together, always take pride about how you look :)

Stay Fabulous!

Enchanted by Pastels

DSC_0145After coming back from vacation in New York, I’m back and so happy to connect with all of you again.

I missed you while I was gone :)

Once again I decided to show pastels, because honestly, I can never get enough of these pretty colors…they’re just so me 😉

Pastels are like cupcakes. They are the soft side of me. When I think about pastels, I see roses, lollipops, cherry blossoms, candy kisses and even THE beautiful face of a baby :)

Pastels have deep meaning in fashion. They are universal colors that represent the delicate and the sophisticated sides of a woman together.  They symbolize romance and are fashionable colors for playtime.

There are so many ways to be stunning with pastels.  If you have a good tan to your skin, pastel will also look absolutely fabulous on you.

But we need to be careful, because pastels can also be a little tricky.  If we don’t style them in the right way, we can look like an Easter Egg LOL…

Pair pastels with grey, black or navy blue for the right touch.

Check out the pastels I show off in these pictures. You don’t have to necessary wear them the exact same way, but I hope they give you an idea of some colors that look just beautiful together :)

Stay fabulous!

Romper Review

DSC_0118One of the hottest and most popular fashionable trends for this Summer are Jumpsuit/Rompers. Yes, they are back big-time, as strong as ever!

It is unbelievable how our tastes do change over the years. Before, I would never even try to put on a Romper, and I definitely would never go out shopping just for one.

In my mind wearing a Romper was always like making a fashion crime. But each and everyday I saw more and more Rompers all over the fashion magazines, and I realized that maybe it was just one of those trends that was out there for so long that I never even gave them a chance.

So, I injecting some fashion confidence in myself, I finally got in the market, looked around, and bought my first one.

The good news about the Jumpsuit/Romper is that you can dress them down with some flats or sandals; or dress them up with heels and accessories.  You just need to choose the style that suits you best.

Wether you are searching for the glamorous or a casual look, there is definitely one out there to fulfill your own taste. Pretty much any shape of purse will go fine with the Romper: big ones, little ones, clutches, cross body bags…and with the right jewelry, it just depends on the occasion.

Many times they can even save the day, because you don’t have to put too much thought into a full Romper outfit.

So if you are scrambling in your closet for that particular outfit to make a statement, get into a Jumpsuit/Romper mood and get ready to Rock!

But a few things you need to know first:   For women who are not very tall, short Rompers are the best way to go.  For women with average sizes, long or short Rompers are totally perfect.  And for women, like me, who are not fortunate to have any Fanny – well, I prefer to choose one that is a little loose on the body, to make sure I don’t look like I’m wearing a potato sack LOL…

I will say, though, that even when Rompers are now one of my favorite items for this Summer, they are still a challenge in the ladies room LOL…But looking fabulous is always worth the sacrifice, right ladies!!

So embrace the sophisticated or laid-back girl with this staple trend.

Stay fabulous!!!

Leather in Summer !

009 CSC_0610 (1)

Hello Divas,

Today the subject will be Leather, so grab a hot tea or something sweet and enjoy the discussion

When we think about leather clothes, we might immediately assume bad boys, sexy girls, or Rocks Stars, but seriously, leather has become a staple in a fashionista’s wardrobe.

It is hard to say exactly when leather became a part of the fashion world. Evidence shows that even in prehistoric times leather was used for clothing.

In the 1980’s, leather became very powerful with Punk Culture and then with Heavy Metal fans, like my husband LOL

But designers turned that image around and presented leather as chic sophisticated and fun.

This year and last year, leather appeared in collection after collection; and season-after-season, leather appears with the biggest personalities walking on the fashion street.

While leather was typically stereotyped as a cool/winter weather material, fashion trends do change!

Leather can be easily worn in all seasons, done in fresh beautiful colors from leather dresses, jackets, vests and leggings to shorts, tops and skirts.

I’ll show you that summer leather can be as comfortable as a pair of flip flops.

So, if you just can’t get enough with leather, don’t worry about it because this is a look set to be around for a long time.

My rules for leather:

I always love black with black, or black with white, using neutral colors for my taste, and if I choose a big purse, there is no need for big accessories.

Also, keep it simple and and tasteful because you always want to look classy never trashy

Stay fabulous.

Bikini Mom

The history of the Bikini can be traced back to the Roman Empire, when Roman women wore bikini-like garments for competitive athletic events.

Hundreds of years later, French women re-welcomed the Bikini, provoking controversy within the Church and French society.  The majority of people first thought this two-piece outfit was too risqué and scandalous, but little-by-little over time it became more acceptable around the globe.

Miss World beauty pageant contestants first wore bikinis in 1951, but the person who truly revolutionized the world with this unique outfit was the one and only Bridget Bardot, when she was first photographed wearing a Bikini at the Beach during the Cannes film festival.

Moving to the real subject of this post, I would like to open my heart to all of you gorgeous friends.

As women, we are often accustomed to thinking that bikinis only belong to Size Zero bodies without imperfections, or women who workout like everyday nonstop.

But truthfully, it is really all about how we feel inside with ourselves :)

Many women, like myself, are mothers, and of course with pregnancy our bodies change.

I am very proud to share with all of you my history: I gained over 75 pounds in nine months, and after my pregnancy I was very unhappy with the way I looked.   So I decided to change that immediately with healthy dieting, exercise, and so much work.  But I can tell you, I will never be the same size I was at age 18 or so, but I’m completely happy with who I am now.

No body is perfect, we all have imperfections, and if you don’t, you are one lucky girl!!

But for the majority of us, like it or not, cellulite and stretch marks are our-best friends for life. LOL

… And you know what? It’s no big deal!!

I believe from the bottom of my heart, that every woman has her own beauty, in her own way.

The secret is to accept yourself and be happy for who you are.

So if you think Bikini only belong to Victoria Secret models and Size Zero Chics, I will tell you I disagree a 100%!

It is not about size, it is not about a perfect body, is about being happy in your own skin :)

Remember, you are beautiful because there is only one you :)

So, while summer is here, get to the beach or the pool with your bikini and enjoy this precious time of the year.

I always say this: “don’t look for anybody’s approval, only your own.”

Stay fabulous!
