Girl On The Go!

Bringing back fashion for the girl on the go !!

The sound of silence feels incredible and makes me think how amazing it is to be a women. We are always on the go.
We are mothers, wives, best friends, professionals …OMG…everything, not to mention the housekeeping part LOL…

But truthfully, the question is: do we really pay attention on ourselves? It is so easy with our busy routines to get caught in our sweat pants and flip flops or plain sneakers, jeans and a T-shirt.

However, lets not forget our identity just because the day is not long enough. It doesn’t mean we have to quit being women. Just because we became mothers, and put some weight on (talking for my own experience), it doesn’t mean we should loose pride in ourselves.

Taking care of ourselves is so important in so many aspects. The way we project life, our relationships with our husbands, partners, and everybody else. Self confidence plays a big roles in our minds. Sometimes it is good to analyze ourselves and appreciate who we are.
Reaching out for a little help in the fashion department can sometimes be a good answer.

We often admire how other women look, and it is easy to just let ourselves go looking for the wrong excuse to be some new woman that deep inside we don’t really like. Don’t be satisfied with the woman you have become. Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy.
Don’t put yourself on hold just because your schedule is too busy. The best gift you can give to yourself is self-confidence.
Get excited about yourself! Bring the chic back! Take a look in the past and think about how you were when you first dated your husband or partner. Remember those times? We spent so much time in the mirror; we wore heals; we did our makeup and hair; and were just shinning all over. And most importantly, we enjoyed the feeling. That, girl, is still in you. She never left, you just let her get a little lazy.

So shake it, shake it! Bring back the sex appeal and get that drop dead gorgeous diva back :)
So, have a cup of tea with me and enjoy the fashion tips:

  • Allow yourself to go shopping.
  • Pick just a few things that will make you feel pretty. No need to spend a fortune, just purchase something you can wear a different way.
  • You could team different colors together with the same purpose.
  • Get a new pair of flat stylish shoes ( easy to wear with everything ), and if you like to dress up a little more on the weekends, or go for a date with your hubby, maybe a nice new pair of heals;
  • 1 or 2 stylish jeans;
  • 1 or 2 delicate blouses (silk, linen or cotton are very IN);
  • A few pairs of shorts (black or maybe blue, you can do so much with this colors);
  • A few fresh and youthful tops (pastels are so classy);
  • A stunning blazer (my favorite thing);
  • Get just a few useful accessories ( if you are not too crazy about bracelets and too much bling bling like me );
  • Get a nice feminine belt;
  • A nice purse. I would choose a purse with a solid color that will match with every outfit you wear ( black, white, beige or brown ); and
  • A beautiful pair of sunglasses

You don’t have to buy everything in one day..do it little by little.
Do your hair, get a manicure and a pedicure.
Challenge yourself to a complete new look.
Don’t be afraid to do a drastic change in your life for the best.
Don’t look for anyone’s approval; only your own.
And bring the magic back!
In this outfit, I chose nice pink jeans, with a grey linen blouse and a black blazer. But if you don’t want the blazer, a black sweater around your shoulders can also look very chic, for a relaxing day :)
With some sliver high heals, a silver belt and a silver purse….To me, the metallic silver accessories give the outfit a glamorous effect for a nice day on the go.
Cheers to the new you!
Stay fabulous!

Timeless Wardrobe

Today I woke up feeling amazing. It is one of those days, when my mind flies away in so many different directions.

Today it is all about dreams. I know I am a big dreamer, but dreams are free, and we don’t have to pay taxes for that, right? :)

So, from fashion fairyland, I recharged my Batteries and got inspired!

Now I’m flying to my closet using my huge imagination. I usually find something I can alter, all I need is a little skirt, dress or pants. Anything I can play with and re-make to look fabulous and chic makes me feel like I just bought a new outfit.

The biggest satisfaction for me, is to create a new design with clothes that I wore many times before but just doesn’t look very attractive to my eyes anymore, or, …..is just out of style :)

I have rules in my closet.

Rule #1: Keep everything visible so you know exactly what you have.

Rule #2: Separate the clothes by season.

Rule #3: Clean up your closet every 3 months, you’ll be amazed how many things you’ll find in there.

Make your closet like your very own candy store. Work with everything you have, organize it by colors as well.

Be a smart shopper! Get needed additions when the great deals are out, and don’t buy just for the sake of buying, or get hooked on the junk addiction. Quality works better than quantity!

All I’m saying here is: don’t pay a fortune for everything you buy. I say, get your favorite brands at a great deal.

I just want to help all my fabulous readers to get inspired with your own wardrobe.

Sometimes we feel a little depressed for different reasons, especially at THAT time of the month. We might feel fat, bloated…. OMG, all those negative feelings! I call this HFD – “hormonal fashion disorder.” First thing we might want to do to get rid of this feeling is buy something just for the sake of buying. We might feel like: if we get something new from the store, it will make us happy. Almost like hunting for happiness.

But honestly, it doesn’t really work!

So when you get in one of those moods, go shopping in your own closet.

Recreate and outfit and make a new look that is remarkable.

Lets face it, as women we love beautiful clothes, so why not play dress up as therapy? And it’s also a fine way to relieve stress.

In case you doubt your abilities to be a great designer, and you don’t want to ruin that skirt or pants that you’re not too crazy about, don’t worry, in my fashion fairyland there is a solution for everything.

Get inspired by your accessories. Try a nice belt, or change the buttons. Maybe add some jewelry. There are so many ways to be creative.

In the end, you will have the most marvelous, fearless, unexpected look.

I will show you today how to reinvent an outfit:

I had this Bebe suit for many years. I love the color, I love that it is linen and I love the tailor jacket. But the style of the pants was off. So I decided to cut it and make a fabulous short-pants suit, and it was ready to go.

I can honestly say, I feel totally happy with the results, and what I originally paid for that suit… even after all these years, it’s so worth it :)

I decided to wear a black top with this suit, to give some contrast.

I chose this black purse because I love the style of the gold chain, it makes the outfit much more elegant.

The white watch is perfect for Summer, it brings a youthful look to the suit. And the beige high heals….they’re the perfect combination.

Suggestions: I highly recommend not saving everything, but definitely those cloths you love, or once loved the way you looked in them. Also consider keeping your good quality items, for example, those made of fabrics like linen or silk.

Our imaginations have no limit, we just need to make it work :)

Stay Fabulous!

The Little Black Dress

The most elegant, but simple and sophisticated, Little Black Dress.

Behind this magic dress is an incredibly classy lady.  Not exactly created by Coco Chanel, but she definitely was the one who gave the power to this dress.

Coco Chanel, the woman with more style than any woman in the world.  The woman who started with nothing and ended up building an empire.  Thanks to her, every woman in this world can feel sexy, classy and like a truly beautiful lady.  Coco Chanel was the fashion icon of all times, and her Little Black Dress is the only one that all women with different tastes agree to wear as a universal uniform around the world.

It is a feminine piece of cloth every women should have in their closet.  It is the one dress that you can wear anytime of the year and on any occasion to feel confident and know that you are safe; because the LBD is not only a sign of class and style, it is the iconic symbol of fashion.  It is a magic dress that will make any moment unforgettable!

Most fashion trends don’t stay forever, but this is one that will live forever in the fashion world.  It is the signature of style, it is that essential piece of clothing that will take you anywhere, and make you feel amazing!

You can create so many different styles with this dress, because it is so versatile and easy to play with.

Many ways to wear your LBD :
For a special occasion, business meeting, dinner party, girl’s night out, chic cocktail party, or even, if you add a white blouse, it is perfect for a job interview!

There are so many opportunities to take advantage of with this wonderful dress.  I Love to accessorize this dress with a splash of gold – lets say a gold watch or a gold clutch purse.  I feel gold gives to this dress such a rich look.  Also, for more formal engagements, pearls are the perfect way to go.  Let’s embrace our feminity with the LBD!

The great news about this dress, is that you can mix and match it with any color depending on the event.

I chose the Little Black Dress today because I truly fell in love with it’s style.

To me, the white collar with this outfit brings out a delicate, youthful, vintage look.  And of course, with this style, because of the collar, you don’t need big accessories. Keep it simple and classy.

I end this tribute to the epic Little Black Dress saying, as Coco Chanel did,
“Look for the woman in the dress. If there is no woman, there is no dress.”

Stay fabulous !

You don’t need all this brands, all what you need is the idea how to accessorize this beautiful dress.

Stay Fabulous,

A Touch of Style

Hello gorgeous ladies.

Today my forte is: “Low bugets with high expectations!”

I’m the girl who knows all too well my Gucci from my Burberry as well as TJM from H&M. I guess what I’m trying to say here is that style + class doesn’t mean $$$$$$.
The point is, to be passionate about knowIng your own style, and enjoy the ride.

I highly recommend exploring every store, from high end boutique regulars stores to low budgets stores. Each are full of their own surprises.  For me, it is hard to focus on just one designer or brand. Why should I eat just one type of chocolate when there are many other flavors out there ?  Get in the fashion fever mood and try different options.

Sometime as women, we feel like: “Well, if my friend looks so stylish with those clothes…or my coworker with that sexy intellectual outfit….or what about the sassy girl from next door…must line up each of those different looks.”
But honestly girls, is not about she or them!  Instead of worrying about everyone else’s look, let’s try to understand our own style.  Be independent in your choices!
Develop a good relationship between your taste and your wallet, enhancing productive projects for your closest, but making sure your account doesn’t drain.

I noticed that many times we get so stuck in all the fashion magazines.  Every time I go to the grocery store and am waiting in line to pay, I grab a magazine and look at what all the famous people are wearing, with all the extravaganza.
For the celebrities who look so perfect on the Red Carpet, or on any occasion when the paparazzi capture their photograph, its totally surreal the difference between them and us. Their image is their job. Behind each of them are many fashion and style advisers, making sure each and every detail is going to look impeccable, but there is so much excitement in fashion for all of us. We create moods and show our own emotions according how we feel in each particular moment. There is so much HONESTY in what we wear everyday.

The point is: There is no excuse to not look fabulous and feel pretty about ourselves, there is a budget for every smart woman.
Look inside yourself and choose your preferences wisely.
Is a win win situation.

Stay Fabulous!!!

Stay Fabulous !!!!

A mix of few designer and brand together,nothing wrong with that. Smart shopper is the key :)

So today I mix  warm and cool colors. Blue is one of my favorite, make me feel fresh and happy, and if I add some camel, brown the outfit look so rich :)

Summer in my closet

My favorite time of the year is around the corner. The days are long. The sun is bright. The skies are blue.

New leaves and flowers are making an appearance, showing their best colors.  The Green and the Yellow decorate the beautiful landscape of California.

Summertime is a huge fashion scene! The seductive energy from this scenery brings the best and most creative fashion trends.

Designers work very hard to be innovative each year.  The effort to prepare for summer is just incredible!  This is also time for us to illuminate our closets, with all it’s eminent colors.

Allow me to share my excitement, and speak to you about a fabulous menu for this time of  year.

The Magnificent Pastels do not plan on going away anytime soon.  They inherent elegance and femininity.   I love the Baby Pink and the Baby Blue, the Peach and the Soft Watermelon, the Dazzling Blue, the Light Lavender, the Beige, and the Light Green.  In my opinion, the Pastels are a signature of refined taste.  When I think about pastels, I see the fashion icon Mrs. Jacqueline  Kennedy Onassis as the legendary First Lady who made her fingerprint in the fashion world with such grace.  She made a statement for sure with the unforgettable Pink Suite from Coco Chanel and she would be remembered as the First Lady with the most distinguished taste ever.

Perhaps the vivid colors such as the Red, the Electric Blue, the Fussia, and the Orange are also very trendy this  summer, in a very edgy way.

And of course, the flower-dresses are very attractive as well, making beautiful gardens.

Let’s not forget the art-work prints walking with such personality. There are many choices this season to play with. The Warm, the Neutral and Cool tones are the right direction for you to welcome the Summer in your closet.  I hope these colors can help you this season to bring a wonderful story to your life with many beautiful and memorable  pictures.

Stay fabulous !!!
