Introducing Paz Moresco

Hello everyone,

I am back on my blog again, and this time more inspired that ever before!

So when it is about fashion, I always look for something different, something that could take my breath away.

Every day we see more and more new designers at the Catwalk. But nothing has really impressed me until recently, when I had the great opportunity on my last trip to Chile to meet one of the most amazing Chilean designers. With a distinctly refined sense of style, and very a impressive portfolio, let me introduce all of you to the incredible Paz Moresco.

First, I want to say it was an absolute honor to be a guest at one of her Haute Couture fashion shows.

From the very first minute the event started, I felt like every dress spoke directly to me through the elegance, class and glamour of their designs. Each and every one was its own unique piece artwork. Every dress told its own story upon the models’ bodies, and you could totally see Paz’s high-end talent and dedication to perfection. She deeply inspired me with het innovative use of different elements and fabric, that to me, represents what all women are looking for: delicate femininity and elegant sophistication.

As you all know, I am a big fan of
Coco Chanel, and to be honest,
Paz reminds me of her, but of course with her own unique signature.

There is no doubt in my mind that her name will cross borders and soon become respected and recognized by the world-wide fashion industry.

Two days after the show, I was so happy to also sit down with Paz at her special atelier, and learn about her special creations right where all the magic happens.

Some of her hand-made dresses take months to be finish because there is so much detail involved. So when I hear reference to high-end fashion, I now immediately think of Paz Moresco.

In talking with her, I learned so much about her journey through life and how she came to fall in love with fashion. Her beautiful fashion story began at the early age of 6 when she would go with her mother to the local seamstress and ask to have dresses made from patterns that she drew herself. She would also pick out contrasting fabrics and make her own creative combinations.

By the time she was only 7 years old, she realized just how much passion she had for fashion as she began to hand-sow cloths for her Barbies. She made history for first time when, at the age of just 8, she won a best design contest for Barbie Magazine.

An associate of her father also had a boutique that imported all of their textiles from France. She remembers the first time she visited that shop, and that with her fascination of all the pearls and exquisite embroidery on the fabrics that glimmered in her eyes, she knew right away, from that very moment, that she wanted to be a fashion designer.

From there, she grew up determined to follow her own dreams even though her mother wanted her to study medicine. So, as she also remembers, she would draw dresses in her math books, thinking about one day becoming a Chilean Coco Chanel with her own fabulous personal style.

She started her professional fashion career at the prestigious designer university in Chile, DuocUC. After graduation, she landed her first true job in the profession designing cloths for the Catholic University Theater, where she also completed her thesis.

She designed costumes for the famous Spanish theatrical play, Don Quijote de La Mancha, at the University of Chile, and later also for Peter Pan.

Today, her name is well establish in Chile, and during recent years she had many achievements. Famous celebrities are already wearing her designs at the Red Carpet on both the national and international levels, and she has also taught Fashion Design at various locations such as the Chile University.

Now, with a successful career rolling, one of her biggest dreams still to come is to open the Casa Moresco; where she can educate talented new students and pass along her legacy to the next generation of Chilean designers. She said, that after working for 15 years as a designer, it is high time for her to open new frontiers and show everyone that Chile is so ready to dress all women around the world. Additionally, she also includes many metals and gemstone typical from Chile in her designs, such as Copper, Silver and the beautiful Lapis Lazuli. But most importantly to me of course, is that she has also started a new accessories line.

She truly believes, with her own experience and talent, as well that of the talented new fashion designers ( her students ), that Chile is ready to conquer the fashion world.

For Paz Moresco, the Sky is the limit.

After seeing with my own eyes what Paz Moresco is all about, I can totally say she understands and expresses the concept of true fashion, and for that I am her biggest fan !!!

Here in this post today, I want to share with all of you that I am so honored to now be the international ambassador for Moresco House, and I am so excited to show all of you a few of her exclusive dresses.

Stay Fabulous!!

Hello to all of you fashionistas,

Well it has been long enough for me to stay way from my blog.

Blogging about fashion really, really makes me very happy, because it is such a big part of who I am. But to be honest, sometimes I feel nobody really cares about this subject. I guess all that matters is to do the things that make us happy, without thinking or waiting for anybody’s approval right ???

So I’m back again, doing what I love, Ok, no more bla bla, LOL..

So HELLO fringes!!!!

Time to talk about a trend that refuses to die.

Fringes is one of those trends that has never entirely been complete out of the fashion world, they maybe traveling to Jupiter or Venus, but they are always coming back to earth, LOL

We saw fringes all over at the 70s and 90s and now they are back to stay for awhile.

So take a seat, because it is the fringe’s time to shine and even better, you can shine and have fun with them.

The fringe explosion offers so much style and sexiness. The return of the 70 boho chic is here, but looking sophisticated.

I know it is a trickier trend to pull off, but try to choose one or two outstanding Items to play safe with.

On this outfit I show you today, I chose a Zara suede fringe top with some power Steve Madden high heels, adding the H&M brown shorts, with is classy Kate Spade Purse. To me, the combination of suede and leather is such a feminine, classy look.

Keep it simple and clean without looking messy.

So let’s enjoy this trend, and there is so much out-there: Shoes, Bags, Tops, Skirts, Dresses, Necklaces, OMG I can go on and on….too much to play dress up with.

Talking about Heaven, OMG I’m in Heaven with this trend!!

So, can we have the apple pie and eat it too?…. And still look fabulous with fringes?? Duh !!! Girls, we can do anything. Who runs the fashion world? It is us, so cheers to that !!! We have the magical power to do whatever we want with different trends and make our own statement.

And just so you know, anyone can wear this trend and look amazing, because it blends so easy to any look and style.

Until next time beauties, Stay Fabulous!!

Hello world,

Today it is time for me to talk with all of you about socks.

Lately I have seen them all over Vogue and other fashion magazines….Yes, cute, adorable outfits with socks!

I guess they don’t belong just to grandma’s wardrobe anymore 😆

Now they are new additions to the fashion world!

But seriously, I have been thinking about this trend for awhile, and what really inspired me the most  was my fabulous fashionista friend from who has an incredibly exquisite taste for fashion.  She can pull off any outfit with socks, and totally Rock it!

Getting back to the subject, I really believe there is something really sexy and feminine to add the right Socks to your outfit.   They are definitely eye-catching and can totally make a simple outfit look like a million dollar’s.

To me, socks and heels are the perfect combination, and there are many ways to style this trend: we have the retro, the preppy, the hipster and the classy ones.

So begin to define what style you would like to try, and start from there.  But keep in mind that it is better to have your socks noticed because of your amazing taste, and not because you confuse the time for Halloween LOL..

So here is my way to style an outfit by wearing socks:  Today I chose a pencil Skirt, with a little graphic top.  I paired them with these transparent short socks for the chic cool look, and I added these white round Glasses and striped Bag.   To me this is the perfect combination for everyday life.

Wether you are ready or not for something different, it is always good to experiment with new trends!

Stay fabulous.

Polka Dot Power

Hello world,

Today I decided to post one more time about the famous Polka Dots that are still a hot trend for this Summer.

As I mentioned before, prints are huge this Summer, and one of my favorite prints without a doubt are the blue and white Polka Dots.  To me, these two colors bring the Summer spirit into my world, and the Polka Dots add that vintage chic flavor to them.  It is also so perfect to pair this combination with some skinny jeans, and bring out the Nautical look with some red heels for a day out with your family or friends, feeling and looking stunning.

Whether you go for a casual or formal look, Polka Dots will keep you looking classy.

But styling Polka Dots can be a little tricky since this is such a bold print. So here are few tips for you to try:

If you decide to wear this trend with the skinny jeans, and really want to make a statement, add a white blazer so that the Polka Dots will contrast with the white.

Also, make sure your blouse is tucked into your jeans, but keep it a little loose.

For a formal look, I usually choose white and black Polka Dots, because to me, it is a cleaner and classier look.

Stay fabulos!

I Have Nothing to Wear

Do you ever look in your closet and see tons of clothes everywhere that you have accumulated over the years, but you still get that frustrating feeling thinking, OMG !!!! I have nothing to wear !!! We’ll, trust me, you are not the only one, I get that feeling every other day LOL….

I feel like I want to open the window and when I see the blue sunny skies, I’ll just witch clothes with the many different colors descending like a rainbow from the sky, just for me haha…what a beautiful dream.

Going back to reality, I always feel like I need to buy something that I see in the magazines, or, if I walk into the Mall just because there is a sale, I think, well I must buy a pair of shoes, or a sweater because it is a good deal…Don’t you ever feel like that ??? Don’t you ever get those impulsives to make purchases and then a day later, you think, OMG why did I get those shorts? I don’t even like them that much.

Or, what about when you are invited to some event with friends, and you grab your favorite dress from your cosset because you feel pretty on it, but then your mind suddenly tells you, “wait !!!!”…You can’t wear the same dress twice, your friends already saw you in it, they are gonna think you don’t have anything else !!! LOL

Yep !!! I know that feeling.. I will say the worse day for me is when I’m PMSing… then I know for sure I will have a hard time with my clothes, because you know we feel ugly and fat and everything else. You know when those hormones go bulistic on us, lol

But thank goodness then it is over.

Well my fab friends, when you get crazy like me and wake up feeling this way, here are a few recommendations I’ve been trying lately. And I can assure you, they work.

Step 1. Go back to bed for 5 more minutes, and order your mind, that you are you gonna change your feelings, for positive thoughts.

Step 2. Walk to your closest and focus on all your favorite Items, and then look for them.

Step 3. Check the weather on your phone, and based on that mix and match, like a piece of art work. So let’s say if the weather is beautiful, get your favorite pair of shorts or pants and your favorite top together, if you feel bloated get something like a loose chic top, that will help you avoid showing any belly imperfections, LOL… And get your most beloved purse, and if you feel like you have those horrible dark circles around your eyes, find the biggest sunglasses that you own.

Step 4 and last one. Wear your sweetest perfume that reminds you, that you are beautiful.

And if you see something in the stores, don’t go crazy thinking that you have to buy it. You are better off savIng the money for something you really, really like, since it is better to have just few pieces that are really good.

Rember, quality over quantity !!! Stay fabulous.

Flared Pants are Back.

DSC_0650 2

The 70’s trend is having a revival at this moment, the fashion industry is going crazy with this style.

I can definitely see designers are rescuing the flared and bringing them back, but this time in a much more modern and glamorous look. Whoever lived in the 70’s, they know this trend was far away from being considered chic and glamorous. It was more like relaxing and fun, lets say more like a hippy way with big necklaces, head bands, platforms, etc .but they seem less extreme if we are thinking about being sophisticated and fab.

So from the skinny jeans we are going on transition to the flared.

To be honest I feel so X-cited to introduce this trend into my wardrobe, as I am looking for some new refreshing styles.

If you think the fashion world forgot the 70’s decade forever, you are wrong my friends. They are making a big comeback, and they are here to stay and TOTALLY ROCKS :)

Be aware, the flared can be dangerous if we don’t know how to wear them. This means we need to have the right elements, all depending on what is the look we are searching for.

For me I love the polished and glamorous , like soft textures, silks and delicate fabrics, high pointy heels with big belts. If you still have those belts in storage somewhere in your house, it is time to dust them off and bring them back to your wardrobe.  This to me accentuates femininity.

I can see myself wearing the flared the way I just described and making my entrance anywhere. People will see that I am as delicate as a rose petal LOL… But I know the majority of women like to be treated like beautiful flowers, at least I know I do hahaha.

Let me give you some advice on how to wear the flared; it is super important to get the exact right hem length, because you want the pant to cover the big part of your high heel, that would bring to your silhouette a slim body shape look.

For my personal taste wearing flared with flats is definitely a fashion crime :) Make sure whatever top you choose fits your body well, not too long and loose.

Like what I said before classy pointy heels over stumpy flats.

I know flared pants are the hot ticket for this year, so we better start looking for them, and become good friends with them.

Stay fabulous.

Sweets for Thought

Time for me to relax and eat my favorite Dutch Apple pie while typing my sweet thoughts about the invasion of different print types in the fashion industry.

I don’t know about you ladies, but for my personal taste, I love all the different prints that I now see everywhere.  It is a very modern and youthful trend – definitely unconventional in a good way.

All I see lately all over the store showcases are different prints and all kinds of fabrics, such as silk, linen, cotton and much more.  They resemble abstract expressionism and I think if Pablo Picasso was still alive he would agree with me.  Picasso was and artist of many styles, and abstract art was a part of his amazing talent.  So I think prints as an art expression brings a new flavor to the fashion world.

Remember the introduction of prints back in the 80s?  But this time the trend comes more powerful, and with such a enigmatic and elegant appearance.

For my personal taste, I prefer prints better on bottoms than tops.

In my opinion, the skinny jeans with a little touch of print, are my favorite :)

I encouraged you to show that feminine silhouette, but keep in mind to add some prints to your a outfit in a delicate way.

Let’s make a mark on the fashion world this Spring and Summer, let’s be the ones who lead in fashion over this wonderful time of the year, with some stunning and inspirational looks.

Stay Fabulous.

Where fashion and friends meet

Today I would like to share my thoughts about friends in fashion.

Sitting with my favorite Coach, my favorite fashion magazine, and a hot cup of Tea, I suddenly start to think about the relationship between Fashion and my friends :)

I constantly look around wherever I go, searching for something that totally captivates my eyes. Yes, I know I have mentioned this before, but I think what fascinates me the most, is looking at the styles of my friends because to me, styles are a reflections of everyone personality, and about what you believe so I definitely think clothing can be a part of getting to know people better.

I realize this probably sounds a little superficial, but that is so not the case for me. I just love observing every one of my friends with their own signatures and distinct looks, and you know as women’s, we always like to Pay tribute to what somebody else is wearing. It is just so much fun to compliment each other on our outfits and stuff. I’m a true believer that women should compliment and help each other all the time.

I find it so terrible when women compete with one another, and unfortunately, insecurity can play a very negative part in some women’s mind. Lucky, I don’t have that problem with my friends :) :)

I may be wrong, but I think I can read people very well just by looking at what their preferences with Fashion are.

Many times, I found myself playing this secret game in my mind. Like, let’s say, if my friends and I get together for any event, or just for some fun girly girl time, I feel like I’m sitting at the table with them, and my mind starts to doing makeovers LOL… Like, I will change a top from one of my friends and add, let’s say, a jacket from the other friend…or the accessories, and by the end of the night, in my mind they all are leaving dressed up completely different from how they came in, hahaha OL

I know that is insane !!! But seriously, how many times have we wished we could tell a friend, like, why you don’t try this color??? Or why don’t you try this new style…etc ?

I will say though, all my friends have there own niche look, and they are very much into the best fashion, not all of them, but the majority. :)

They are wonderful, beautiful, human beings, and they know they have a crazy friend like me who is obsessed with fashion LOL.

The best part of this, I can literally describe everyone’s style, and with our group of friends we can pretty much cover every style in the world LOL. Defiantly the classy look, the chic and classy, the Sport chic, the conservative, the sexy on-the-go, the fierce fabulous, LOL…and the outdoor sporty

.So, when I think about my friends and fashion, it is like seeing a fabulous menu, full of the best choices

And most importantly, we all have fun getting dressed up for any occasion.

We all understand very well that it is not about how much $$ we wear, it is about class

My humble advice to all of you, find the right group of friends in your life. I will say friends can be so much more that just having a glass of wine, they can be your confidants, your sisters, your fashion consultants, your Gym parters, your sociologists, ….the one who cleans your tears when you are sad, and the one who laughs with you when you are happy.:)

That what I call true friendship.

Stay Fabulous.

To be completely honest I have never been a huge fan of the camo trend until recently.

I thought this style did not suit me well, but I think I was wrong. I can totally wear camo using the right elements.

So if you are still skeptical like me, maybe it is time for you to challenge yourself for something new :) I swear to you, you won’t regret it :)

Just so you know this trend has been on and off for awhile now, and I don’t see it disappearing from Vogue any time soon :)

You will see more camo this Spring 2015.  So why not freshen your current look. Right ??

But the question is how to wear this. For me in this outfit I choose to be chic, something easily distinguishable and ready for action :)

So I chose a black solid free flowing top, with a little beige Jacket. I added a pair of my favorite nude heels for a classic approach :)

Go simple with the rest of your outfit, including accessories :) That is the safe way to go :)

The effect I want to make with this outfit is one of an elegant defining package :)

Always classy and chic :)

BTW I don’t think I will wear the Rita Ora camouflage coat that she recently wore in London :)

For right now I will just stick with the pants, but you never know what the fashion future holds for me LOL…

Stay fabulous.
